		Gray Balance Your Images while Shooting More Gray Balance Your Images while Shooting     The Camera Gray Balance Picker can help you achieve consistent, predictable results in your work. Use the picker to balance the grays in the image prior to evaluating colors. When you use the picker to click a gray point in your image-for example, an 18% gray card in the shot-Leaf Capture makes this point neutral, that is, the RGB values of the point become equal. The remaining colors in the image are adjusted in relation to this point.   This task is performed on the Shoot panel Exposure Evaluation area. 1. Click the Camera Gray Balance Picker tool . 2. On the image, move the pointer to a gray point that you want to set as neutral, and click. The image´s gray balance setting is updated automatically by the selected gray point, and your subsequent shots are balanced using this setting until changed. The Gray balance setting name becomes "Custom Untitled_xxxx.mos.
		Adjusting images as a group More   To adjust a group of images at the same time Select the images that you want to adjust. The image that you selected first appears in the Preview window. If you want to create the changes on another image, Alt-click the desired image. Make the adjustments to the image in the Preview window. The adjustment will be made to all of the selected images (including thumbnails). You can view the results and even deselect images that you do not want to alter. To save the changes, click Save. To adjust one image and then apply the changes to other images Adjust the selected image. Don’t save the adjusted settings. The prefix ‘Custom’ is automatically given to the name of the predefined setting. Alt-click the images that you want to apply the changes to. The predefined settings list shows "As Tagged in Images". Open the predefined setting list and choose the Active setting. . The changes are automatically applied to all the images. Repeat the above steps for each setting that you want to adjust. Click Save. Note: You can follow these steps at any time to apply the settings of one image to others

		Trashing images and emptying the trash with one click More While browsing through images you have shot in Leaf Capture, you might want to quickly get rid of shots, with out having to then go and empty the trash, adding another step to editing.   Download this Leaf Tip to learn more.
		Adding or Subtracting Selective Moire Reduction selections More Is moire ruining your shots? You can work with the Selective Moire Reduction tool, and easily add to or subtract moire from your selection. 1. After selecting your image, go to the Adjust Panel and open the Grain and Moire Reduction menu. 2. Choose 'Selective' and then choose one of the selection tools: - Ellipse Marquee - Rectangle Marquee - Polygonal Lasso or the Lasso. 3. Now you can make you selection. To add to your selection Press and hold down the SHIFT key, while adding to the existing selection. If you add a selection to an existing selection area, these two selections will merge to become one selected area. If you add a selection from somewhere else in the image (not touching the existing selection), it will simply add another (a second) selection. To subtract from your selection If you have an area selected, and you want to subtract from it, hold down the ALT key and select the area you want subtracted. You can only subtract from an existing selection.

		Compare images with Synchronized Pan and Zoom More Synchronized Compare View With Leaf Capture v. 11.2, you can now synchronize panning and zooming on two or more images in Compare View.   Click Match all with spotlight image to set the zoom and pan of all of the images in compare view to the same relative location as the spotlight image. Click Move all with spotlight image to pan and/or zoom all of the images in compare view together with the pan and/or zoom you apply to the spotlight image.
		Maximize Your Images As you Shoot More Once the days shoot is all set and “locked down” you are ready to shoot, you can hide the function area to increase the area in which you view the thumbnails and previews. It is simple to hide the function area and just as easy to return to function area. With Leaf Capture you are always a click away from being able to check the histogram and access the rest of the features in Leaf Capture while at the same time view your work as large as possible. 		Shooting tethered with Leaf Capture and Lightroom More Shooting tethered with Leaf Capture and Lightroom This procedure explains how to use Leaf Capture with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom when you are shooting tethered. In the Leaf Capture Shoot panel, designate your Shots folder. In Lightroom, from the File menu select Auto Import > Enable Auto Import. From the File menu, select Auto Import > Auto Import Settings and set the Shots folder you set up in Leaf Capture as the Lightroom watched folder. As you shoot, your images are automatically imported into the Lightroom library.
		Creating a new Gray Balance and applying it to many shots More You can create a Grey Balance setting and then have your new setting be applied to all shots, new or old. Your custom Grey Balance setting does not have to be from a newly captured shot, but can be from any shot - one you just shot this second or one from an older MOS file. You can create multiple Grey Balance settings and place them in the Image Settings Menu and use them whenever you need to.   Find out how in this informative procedure
		Save Time on Post-production More Use Leaf Capture's Grid Tool feature to set up shots in correct perspective ... before you shoot. When you need to shoot in perspective, you need a tool to guide you to make sure the subject is perfectly aligned. With Leaf Capture's Grid Tool feature, you can even set up the shot in Live View with grid lines and save hours from tedious post-production aligning. This way you can get the shot you want, and deliver it to your customer faster. Using the Grid Tool Use the grid tool to place a grid on your image. You can define the grid preferences in the Tool Options box. To show/hide a grid on your image: - On the editing toolbar, click Grid. To set grid attributes: 1. On the lower bar, click the Tool Options button . 2. Set the grid options: - In the Style box, select the style of the grid lines. - Click the color box to set the color of the grid lines. - In the Vertical lines box, type the number of vertical lines you want in your grid. - In the Horizontal lines box, type the number of horizontal lines you want in your grid. 3. Click Reset. To move the grid lines: 1. Press SHIFT+SPACE and point to the grid line that you want to move. The mouse cursor changes. 2. Drag the grid line to the desired location.
		Simple to Use Layout Feature More Do you need to compose a shot to a specific layout? Don’t worry Leaf Capture 11 has a layout feature that is simple to use! You can use the overlay feature in either Live Video mode or while in preview mode (during shooting). Follow these steps to use the Overlay feature: 1. From the editing toolbar, click on the Overlay icon 2. Find the overlay layout that you want to use and click Open. This file can be in any format. 3. When the Overlay is opened, you can change the Opacity and scale. Overlay Options 1. Change Overlay Opacity and Scale Click on the Tool Options - - select Overlay Options. A dialogue box opens allowing you to change the Opacity and the Scale. 2. Reposition overlay For repositioning the overlay with in the frame, hold down the Spacebar and the Shift key while the cursor is over the image. You can move the overlay freely. 3. Remove the overlay Click on the Overlay Icon again. 4. Select a different overlay From the File menu, select the Open overlay option. You can choose a different file for the overlay option.

		Deleting Images In Shoot Mode More When shooting in Portable mode, you can quickly delete incoming shots in your camera back in as little as two clicks. In Shoot mode, click and hold on the image on the LCD screen. A small menu will appear. Choose the Delete option. You can also Flag an image, add a Grid (not in screen capture) or add Notes.
		Reset the file-name counter More When defining a file name, the name is then applied to all future shots (adding a number in sequence for each shot). This continues until you define a new base name. You can reset the counter to zero at any time. On the Leaf camera back, enter Camera view, The camera settings menu list appears. 1. Tap File name. The File name keypad appears 2. Tap reset. The shot counter resets to zero.
		Ensure Proper Exposure While On the Shoot More Did you know that the Imaging Module includes a built-in spot meter? You can quickly check precisely where specific information falls on the histogram with the spot meter. 		The Orientation Setting More For full manual control of the orientation of your image, use this setting to override the Auto Orientation function. In specific shooting situations, the sensors in the imaging module, which determine the automatic orientation of the camera, may need to be overridden. One situation may be when the lens is parallel to the ground, like when shooting copy work for instance.   Read the PDF procedure for the full story.
		Rotating the Image VS Rotating the Menu Icons More Did you know that the Leaf back can automatically detect when you move from landscape to portrait? In the Leaf Aptus, Aptus S and AFi, there is a sensor, which is responsible for the Auto Orientation functions of the back. The sensor can tell when you shoot in landscape or portrait mode and can be adjusted from one of two main functions.   From Camera mode In the Camera mode, go to Orientation. Here you can choose the orientation of the incoming shot. If the chosen mode is set to Auto, the Imaging Module’s sensor will determine the correct orientation. You can also set the orientation manually by choosing Landscape, Portrait CW (Clock-Wise) or Portrait CCW (Counter-Clockwise).   With the Leaf AFi, AFi-II and Aptus-II imaging modules, there is also a new orientation setting called "Landscape 180". This setting is very useful when doing copy work, and when camera lens is pointing at the ground. With the new Tilting LCD Touch Screen, this new orientation setting allows you to view the captured image in it´s correct orientation without moving the camera.   From Setup mode In the Setup mode, click Shoot View Options   From the Auto Rotation options, choose On or Off. Choosing ON will allow the menu icons to rotate with the image (if the image is a Landscape image, the icons will also be in Landscape mode etc.). Choosing OFF means that the icons will always display at the same orientation they were before choosing.
